Are we educated? You my have a degree, BA, MA, or FBA, or whatever it is, failed BA, you know, all that kind of stuff. You might have all those degrees, are you educated? You may be able to read and write, go to the office, have a job, earn a livelihood and so on. But are you deeply educated? Or you are only educated a very small part of the brain. So that that training gives you a livelihood, a skill and the rest you neglected totally. So are we educated? Answer this question, put to yourself these questions.
~Jiddu Krishnamurti
It is so important for people to become educated in the art of thinking. We are not taught how to think; we are taught what to think! And we are never taught to question anything. If you look out at the entire institutional system ,you look at how schools functions, how universities function, how government departments function, how corporations function. You are not really allowed to ask questions, you are supposed to be quite and be obedient and comply and that's the way you get rewarded. Directly or indirectly the system works to reward those who will do as they told who will only learn and apply the information that they have been told and are not going to ask questions. The entire institutional system actually doesn't like people who won't conform easily who won't comply easily and have a knack for being disruptive. ~Ron
